Tambourin (or Tamburello as it is known in Italy), is an established sport dating back for over 140 years and
is derived from the middle ages sport of Longue Paume. It is played by men, women and children ofg all ages.
Our objective is to expand this game in England .
We will be focussing on:
- the classic game
game played out of doors on a pitch 80m x 20m by teams of five using an india rubber ball weighing 78gms
- the
indoor game on a pitch 34m x 16m by teams of three using a low pressure tennis ball .

The Club was founded in March 2007.

Tournaments
In
March 2007, an English team played in Italy for the first time : in the Bonate Sotto tournament in
Italy and learnt much from the experience!!
Our mens team participated in th 13th Global Tournament at Les Pennes
Mirabeau, France in September 2010 and finished 3rd in Group C. There were four groups.
Our ladies team
have also played in Les Pennes Mirabeau.
Mens and one ladies teams have also participated in the Indoor
Tournament in Gignac La Nerthe, near Marseilles, France..
